Budgets are about to get real tight for members of our community.

The Colorado Springs Area Labor Council is collecting donations of canned foods and dry goods for distribution to unpaid federal employees, veterans, those that have lost SNAP benefits and other community members in need.

Donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday between 8am and Noon or 1pm to 5pm at

People's Grocery from the Chinook Center is the first and third Sunday of the month from Noon to 2pm.  You can also make a donation for the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables from Care & Share
