When we served our country, we were part of something larger than ourselves. Today, as union veterans, we continue that tradition of service by fighting for working families and building a stronger labor movement.
We want to showcase your stories at the upcoming AFL-CIO Convention in June! We are looking for short videos from our members to feature at the Union Veterans Council booth.
We want to hear from you: What does being a union veteran mean to you?
Recording Tips for the Best Quality:
• Lighting: Face a window or a bright light so your face is clear. Avoid having a bright window behind you.
• Sound: Find a quiet spot. If you’re outside, try to stay out of the wind.
• Framing: Hold your phone sideways (landscape mode). Prop it up or have someone hold it steady at eye level.
• Make sure you start your video with the questions asked! -- "What it means to be a Union Veteran...."
• Keep it brief: Aim for 30 seconds or less to make sure it can be featured!
How to Submit:
By submitting your video, you are providing the Union Veterans Council, AFL-CIO with consent to use your image and recording for promotional materials and display at the convention.
Your voice is a vital part of our movement. We look forward to seeing your stories and sharing them with our labor siblings from across the country this June.
